Raymond E. Pinard began his business career in 1980 as an accountant for manufacturing companies and in 1984 became controller for a major roofing contractor. In 1987, he moved on to assume the role of vice president of finance at an aerospace parts manufacturing firm, eventually taking a minority shareholder position in one of the company's subsidiaries.
Utilizing his financial and business management expertise. Mr. Pinard started a consulting practice in 1993, becoming owner and president of R. E. Pinard & Co., Inc., Corporate Value SpecialistSM in Manchester, New Hampshire. His consulting practice focused on providing corporate financial advisory services, management counseling, strategic planning services, business valuations, and investment banking services, on both the buy and sell side. He sold the firm in June 2005. During the spring of that year, Mr. Pinard was approached by the directors of St. Mary's Bank, the Nation’s First Credit Union®, headquartered in Manchester, NH, to make a career change. He had served on the board of directors of the bank for three years and was hired in June 2005 as executive vice president and chief operating officer, with the intention that he would assume the presidency in 2008. He oversaw the consumer, mortgage, and commercial lending divisions of St. Mary's Bank, in addition to deposit and loan operations, and marketing. After nine months with the bank, he decided to return to consulting and separated amicably from St. Mary's Bank.
In April 2006, Mr. Pinard reentered the consulting arena under the name Monticello Group. The firm focuses on working with top-level business executives in validating or redefining their vision for their business, and working with them in providing focus to those issues that will achieve that vision and the desired results. Mr. Pinard's creative problem-solving expertise and ability to relate and work well with people at all levels, along with his broad technical experience across many industries, has helped numerous companies achieve their goals.
Following his consultation in the spring and summer of 2006 with executives at 48HourPrint.com, an online commercial printing company headquartered in Boston, he was asked by the company's directors to assume the role of interim CEO. Shortly thereafter the directors and Mr. Pinard reached an agreement on his permanent role as president & CEO, which became effective in October 2006.
